Timers Stopped:

While doing any race that is timed you can stop the time
by: pressing F2 and then Q and then Q again. The time will
be paused until you press F2 again. NOTE: There will be no
arrow pointing to the next checkpoint. Do this at the
beginning of the Blitz race or Checkpoint Race or whatever.
Hints:
------
Use the map, Luke. There's no telling what sort of
predicament you'll get yourself into if you don't get
accustomed to glancing at the map all the time.
Map the handbrake to a very convenient joystick button
and acquire enough skill to use it for all your sharp
cornering needs.
The VW New Beetle RSi is a very adept automobile great
through the turns and surprisingly powerful on the straights.
You'll have to unlock it, but the game allows you to do so
early in the proceedings.
Use a manual tranny rather than the automatic, and turn the
rear-view mirror to On.

Turn off the timer in Crash Course, Blitz, or Checkpoint.
While racing, to turn off the timer, just simple press q, F2, F2, and then q to get back to your game. By doing this, you can easily win the blitz races, or Crash Course.

Drive all cars:
Drive a few seconds with the VW Beatle in
Tour mode in San Francisco. End the game
and open the file player1.sav with a text
editor and look for vpbug Put a p directly
behind it (vpbugp). Save and restart the
game.

Disable timer/checkpoint arrows:
Press F2 to pause the game, then type "qq".

When in a blitz race (or any
timed race), press F2 (pausing the game),
then press "q" (bringing up the map), then
"q" again (turning off the map). The result
is that the timer is stopped (unfortunately
the arrow pointing to the next checkpoint is
turned off too,but you have plenty of time
to find it,and plus you can still use the
full screen map).
This cheat is awesome and comes in handy alot
in the crash courses.
