To cut some time off laps, try driving in the underbrush for short cuts. There aren't any boundaries so anything goes
Ideal Route
When not cutting corners and what not, try sticking to the center of the road. You'll get the best speed there.

It might be commonsense, but learn to uses the brakes to prevent spinouts and powerslides
