Copy jwcrack.exe into the containing the game usually:
C:Program FilesVirgin InteractiveJimmy White's 2 - Cueball
run jwcrack.exe
Comments:
This patch uses the Data Patch Engine by Piratel, simply because I can't be arsed writing my own patcher.
Though the user interface DCE30 seems to be suffering from New Variant CJD, though the patches generated don't fall over on a PII when you double click on them.
I am thinking about writing my own patcher in Java more as a academic exercise than anything else.
The three 'No CD' patches took around 20 minutes in total.
Less than the time to cut a copy of the CD
Most of that time was spent waiting for the dissassembler (and making a cup of coffee).
I had just enough time to listen to the CD by Air, while testing the patcher and typing this file.
The CD layout was much more interesting.
The only CD-R software I found that would even attempt to copy it was DiscJuggler.
However although all the sessions where on the resultant CD (according to Nero), the disc was unreadable.
Still I got myself a coaster to set my coffee cup on .
