-you will need 800MB free HD space to install and play without the CD
-i tested this only with the german version but i think it will work
with the others too
-you must follow all steps otherwise it will not work

1. do a full install
2. apply the official Update 1.3
(http://www.sierra.com/support/technical/updates/patch_preview?/pub/patches/pc/moe13fg.exe)
3. make a directory called "CD" in your gamedir and
copy the following content from your KQ8 CD in this directory:
(for example: from "D:" to "C:GamesSierraMaskCD")
dir: Barren
dir: CastleD
dir: Daventry
dir: DeadCity
dir: Gnome
dir: IceWorld
dir: Snowexit
dir: Swamp
dir: temple1
dir: temple2
dir: temple3
dir: temple4
file: mask.inf
4. edit the file "mask.inf" in your gamedir
("C:GamesSierraMaskmask.inf") (not "C:GamesSierraMaskCDmask.inf"!!!)
and change
[Install]
Drive=D:
to
[Install]
Drive=.CD
5. extract "crack.exe" to your gamedir end execute to remove te CD checks
6. if you want you can deleted the movies in your gamedir
"W32mdl_1.dll"
"W32ndg_1.dll"
"W32opn_1.dll"
