This update has been produced in order to improve various aspects of the game based on feedback from both end users and extended quality assurance. The following is a summary of the 'Unsupported Features' and enhancements that version 1.09 will allow you to enjoy.

It is now possible to reduce the number of AI Opponents in all game modes.

Added Act Labs RS Shifter support.

New file "saveai_pen.ini" to allow for changes to AI. This file can also be created on a per-track basis by making a new key in the game.gdb file called "F1_Circuit_AI_Penalty_File".

Tweaked AI braking to reduce lock-ups.

New improved AI paths at; Monza, Spa, Barcelona, Nurburgring.

Improved speed of AI-to-AI collision detection in low framerate situations.

Math optimizations when calculating transformation matrices for various car parts.

Graphics optimized by skipping unnecessary bounds calculations on car shadows.

Removed crash effect from force feedback.

Lap times are now printed in replay mode when cars cross the start/finish line.

Added option to allow player to use unique parameters for the car they choose instead of default parameters. A subdirectory will be created for any car then selected, under the players SETTINGS directory. The proper mod files will be kept there. If the option is turned off, the game will look into the root of the SETTINGS directory for setup files. Unfortunately, this feature causes problems with the saved set-ups, because some cars have 7 gears and some have only 6. The game now ignores all forward gear settings if the number of gears in the set-up do not match the number of gears in the car. Everything will be fine if there is no manual copying of setup files between directories.

Added a control for MIP mapping. Has issues with the cockpit, but may improve performance.

LOD and clipping settings can now be set as a percentage of the default. Please note the correlation between the standard game settings and their percentage based counterpart:
  LOW  = 40%
  MEDIUM  = 70%
  HIGH = 100%
  MAXIMUM  = 150%

Added the ability to save setups for each Track Session. This works with the generic vehicle models as well as the correct vehicle parameters. The setup will autoload whenever a new session is entered. These setups will show up in the settings list box.

Can now record replays in all sessions. If a replay is being played back and no one is on the track, a timer will appear to let you know how far into the replay you are.

Corrected commentary for race wins at Great Britain, Monte Carlo, and San Marino. In Grand Prix or Championship mode they previously gave "generic" race win announcements.

Allowed turning fog off and on with F9 (doesn't work in software mode).

Reduced tire wear due to high wear while running full-length races.

Deadzone and Sensitivity adjustments for each controller axis (on joy1 and joy2) can now be set. Note the option must first be enabled, otherwise the game will use the standard settings in the control section. If you experience problems with your controller after the installation of this patch then create a new Profile in the Profile screen. Once this has been created the controller should function correctly in all Profiles.
